I hope that you enjoy my new website, where I now have the ability to do a blog!!! (for those ‘oldies’ like me a ‘blog’ is apparently short for ‘weblog’ which means I can now write ‘diary-like’ posts to keep people informed of any updates or news, or just my latest thoughts!)
I am assuming that you are here as you enjoyed the Channel 4 television programme Old Peoples Home for 4 Year Olds. I’m so glad you enjoyed the series. We participants enjoyed the experience tremendously and everyone benefitted both mentally, socially and physically. Regarding my own esperience, and my ‘special friend’ Lily Bobtail, I met all her family several times, although of course I haven’t seen Lily Bobtail for ages because of lockdown, but we keep in touch and all look forward to the regular get-together when we can. The manager of Channel 4 told us when we went down to present that trophy on television that we (Lily and I) had already had over 50 million tweets on twitter. Was I lucky that she chose me to be her special friend!
I regret the fact that ExtraCare did not follow up and create a crèche in or near us. I tried hard to and was interrupted by lockdown, but have not given up trying. I will keep you posted of any further news on the subject.
